Blogs about Japan are the whole reason this site exists. Whether you live in Japan, hope to visit Japan one day, or simply have an interest in Japanese pop culture or the Japanese language, my goal is to point you toward Japan blogs worth reading.
I’d like to ask for your help. If you happen upon this site, and you know of a great blog on Japan written from a foreign perspective, let me know. It can be your own blog or one you regularly visit. My own tastes can be a bit narrow, and I’d like to introduce an element of democratic involvement in choosing the blogs on Japan that appear here. So put us in your feed reader, and leave a comment with any questions, suggestions, criticisms or blunt insults that spring to mind. And thanks for reading!

Because she give a more unique view than other Japan blogs. Unlike most blogs that are about people who already knew the language and knew somewhat about the culture, she came to Japan not knowing the language and really not knowing about the culture. It shows how she is adjusting, her views on live in Japan, and shows how a strong willed American woman sticks by her ideals in Japan. I have found it great to read and often check it before other Japan blogs.
Thank you for your time.

I blog about teaching English on a smallish island called Tsushima off of Kyushu, and various trips and travels in the mix.
No new posts in 5 months?
Yeah, I don’t know where the time went. I just nodded off and woke up a month into 2009. Your blogs look pretty interesting, by the way.
Many thanks for this useful round-up of who’s blogging what. Amusing and informative….
